Season's Greetings from ENTER Mental Health

ENTER Season Greetings!

Year 2023 is coming to the Holiday Season, which is a good time to spend a moment to reflect the year!

There have been both good moments, but also it has included worries and sadness.

It was a great pleasure and joy to meet face-to-face in Lipiza in ENTER AGM and Annual conference. Rarely have seen so many participants as this year. The conference was a great success; it also celebrated successful completion of the EU co-funded pilot deinstitutionalisation project in social care, “Dom na Krasu”, who were partners in the conference. Thank you Mojca and the team!

We have continued to organize webinars on topical issues, in total three times during the year. The most recent webinar focused to the importance of the continuity of ENTER Mental Health and its future, looking at the next generation of mental health researchers. Thank you, Emmanuelle, Lene and Mark for all the work you have done for organizing the webinars.

During our Steering group meetings, we have often discussed about the European situation, the war in Ukraine and later the situation in Syria and Israel –Lidia especially has reminded us about the effect that those have to the mental health of refugees, but also young people living in affected countries.

We are planning our next year’s AGM and conference, which will take place in Warsaw on June 26th and 27th. The title of the conference will be published soon, as will the call for the abstracts. I wish to remind you about the importance of the AGM in 2024. This will be my last year as the chair of ENTER Mental Health, and there will also be elections for other Steering Group positions. Please, consider if you want to run for one of these positions, you will receive information regarding the nominations early in the year.

We wish each and all ENTER members, and their close ones a wonderful Holiday Season and a Very Happy New Year 2024!

Marja and ENTER Steering Group
