ENTER has extended the submission date for the receipt of abstracts for its conference "Trauma, the workforce and the workplace: Implementing trauma informed approaches in mental health care" until 7th March 2025. The themes for the conference are:
i) Prevention and resilience: Supporting recovery and resilience:
Healing in trauma.
Recovery for individuals experiencing trauma in the workplace.
Strategies to prevent workforce trauma before it occurs.
Advanced and specialist practices working with trauma.
Building resilience among employees and teams to minimise the impact of trauma.
ii) Understanding trauma, the workforce and its environment:
Defining trauma in the workplace and how it affects employees' mental health, productivity, and overall well-being.
Vicarious Trauma
Identifying and addressing the hidden impact of trauma.
The personal, emotional, financial, and operational impacts of trauma on workforce.
The impact of trauma on care delivery, including the hidden costs i.e. employee absenteeism, turnover, lower morale, and productivity, long-term consequences of unresolved trauma and organisational health.
iii) Trauma and organisational change:
Building a trauma-informed workforce: policies, practices, and support systems.
The effects of trauma on employees during periods of organisational change.
Organisational adoption of trauma-informed approaches.
The role of leadership in mitigating trauma in workforces.
iv) Legal and ethical considerations - Navigating the legal landscape of workplace trauma:
The legal perspectives on workplace trauma.
Workers' rights, workforce harassment laws, disability accommodations, and ethical responsibilities of organisations to protect and support employees.
v) Research methodologies for trauma in the workplace:
Measuring the effects of trauma in the workplace.
The scientific and human dimensions of trauma research for workplaces.
Innovative, effective, and ethically sound approaches to exploring the impact of trauma on workplaces.
vi) Intersectionality and trauma in the workplace:

The future of work - applications of remote work, AI, automation, and changing social norms.
