Managing Stress and Violence at Work
Peter Ryan, Ian Dawson and Robert Hill

The training program which resulted from the OSCAR project has now been published by Pavilion.

There is an increasing body of evidence to suggest that mental health workers experience considerable stress in the course of carrying out their work. This invaluable training resource is designed to enable staff to effectively use stress reduction interventions both organisationally and individually. The training is organised as a four-day package, the first two days concentrating on stress management, the third day covering risk assessment and management, and the fourth day focusing on developing effective strategies for coping with violence.
