Epapsy is non governmental organisation (NGO) that has the responsibility of founding and operating mental health services (housing units, mobile units, Day-centres in the context of the "Psychargos"national programme for the reform of the psychiatric services. It was founded in Athens on 18.12. 1988.
Aims: The promotion of mental health policies connected to the local development and the fight against social exclusion. The promotion of activities for the defense of the individual rights of the mentally ill, their families and over all other vulnerable or high-risk groups. The provision of know-how, training and applied research for the implementation of mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation services in Greece and abroad. The empowerment of initiatives and innovative work methods in cooperation with public services, other volunteer organizations and non-profit associations
