Title   Social Network Support

Target Group  

People who have used or are still using mental health services.


Aim of training  
  • To learn about social support and its relation with stress and mental health
  • To learn of assessment and response to the user’s social support needs with severe mental disorder
  • To learn to recognize and challenge the negative beliefs and social behaviour of rejection toward the user with severe mental disorder
  • To get to know the obstacles the user copes in order to play the social roles more appreciated (friend, partner, mother/father, etc.), as well as to explore strategies to break down such barriers
  • To think and to put in practice initiatives by means of which the user can increase his level of commitment and social implication in the community

Length  

5 modules each lasting 5 hours


Overall purpose of training  

To equip to the user with tools for the construction of a sensitive and effective social network, as well as to belong to such network of an active and significant way.
