Target Group  

Users/User’s family members (caretakers).


Aim of training  

To enable users and their family members/caretakers to understand the process of traumatisation, the psychobiological and behavioural consequences of trauma.
For users to learn how to mitigate these consequences or for their caretakers to support this coping process


Length  

Minimum 4 hours per day, maximum 6 (not counting the breaks and the homework)
Total program minimum duration 10 hours
In case of two-day arrangement better to have a one day break between
Ideal duration 3 days x 5 hours + homework (1+2 days arrangement)
Allow additional time for individual debriefing.


Overall purpose of training  

 


Trainers  

Psychologist/Psychiatrist or other locally acceptable professional profile with training in trauma-centred counselling/therapy.
