Title   Family Support

Target Group  

Users and who they define as an important support person within their own network. This person could be a family member, a close friend, college or anyone else they choose themselves


Aim of training  
  • Introduction to communication skills
  • Work with conflicts in a constructive way
  • Equip families with tools for coping with work related stress
  • Develop realistic & appropriate support systems

Length  

Duration 16 hours broken down into 4 modules, each lasting 3 hours which should be delivered on 4 separate days.


Overall purpose of training  

Build up the support of family members/support persons for users who are either seeking employment or continuing in employment/meaningful activity.


Trainers  

One professional and one user. An alternative could be a carer.
