Short description of UTA
Care Services
Department of Nursing Science is an academic educational organization and therefore doesn’t offer care services but is actively working together with local care providers, especially with Tampere University Hospital
Training Resources
Department of Nursing Science offers the Bachelor's and Master's degree on programmes in public health, nursing management and teaching of nursing. It also offers licentiate's and doctoral degrees. There are some 270 undergraduates in the Department and about 50 postgraduates. The annual intake of new students is 40. Nursing students are unusual in that they have to have a polytechnic degree or college-level qualification in nursing on arrival in the Department. Graduates find placements in various development, managerial and educational functions. There are 20 people working in the Department, of whom 15 are engaged in teaching and research
