Short description of PDCA The Department of Education has experience with taking part in several EU-projects. The first project dealt with training og education activities about violence and violence prevention. The second one was a multicenter project with 6 partners about Occupational Stress with Mental Health Clients in Acute Response (OSCAR) where an important part concerns construction of training programmes on an EU basis. The third EU-program, where the department was coordinator for the whole program with 7 partners, dealt with Integrated Services Aimed at Dual Diagnosis patients (ISADORA). This program was among other things concerned with design, development and implementation of the training intervention and training program for staff dealing with those dual diagnosis patients. Besides these EU-programs the Department is responsible for about 100 various training courses and programs for staff and other partners in the mental health field in the County of Aarhus, as well as for institutions nationwide and for instance the Faeroe Islands, besides participating in other regional and international research projects. During the last five years the Department has been responsible for a project concerning the employment of users as employees in the Psychiatric Services. To help them manage their jobs we offer them a training program. We have employed 12 “user teachers” in the Department and they lecture on almost all of our courses, where they contribute with their own specific experiences.
