HealthNet International in Bosnia and Herzegovina Main Role in the EMILIA Project Responsibility and role of HealthNet International in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the EMILIA project – demostration site. Current status as a demonstration site. HNI has developed the Post Traumatic Stress Support Intervention training programme. Short Description of HNI The Dutch organisation HealthNet International works in war-affected countries. Together with the local population we work on structural development of health care. Healthy people are a condition for recovery. Working together for better health also contributes to making a peaceful society. We work on structural solutions in unstable situations. HealthNet International was established in 1992 to bridge the gap between humanitarian relief and structural support for health sector recovery in the aftermath of crisis. HealthNet International is registered in the Netherlands as a nonprofit charity. Donations are tax-exempt. The core activity of HealthNet International is sharing know-how and skills in the field of public health. Our goal is to do this in a sustainable way – even in unstable situations that are often marked by a collapsed economy, unsettled political environment, ethnic tensions, lack of skilled people and absence of a civil society.
